"Money Can't Buy It," by Annie Lennox from "Totally Diva."

Can we talk?  I want my favorite Diva on OLTL to have it all.  Robin Strasser has been in the Soap Biz for like 42 years. She has been at OLTL off and on for close to 30 of those years playing the character of Dorian Lord. Dorian has lost many a husband and had many a relationship crash and burn. While I want Dorian to maintain her devilish streak that pleases her audience to no end while throwing them off their game as to what she will do next, I also want the character to have some chance at happiness with a character who is on the canvas. Nope, not boring soap happy that leaves a character on the backburner, but the stability involved in having someone she loves, who loves her, who she can count on. I still want her to have to fight to hold on to her happiness and to protect those whom she loves, but I have tired of her losing out time and again. Isn't it time she won something for keeps?

In a few short months into late fall or winter, Ms. Strasser will be entering contract negotiations, I want her character to be positioned in a place on the OLTL canvas that shows respect toward her contributions to the show and the longevity of the character thanks mostly to the talent of Robin Victory in Europe Strasser. I urge fans to write letters to support her. Write letters that are intelligent, concise, and constructive about Dorian Lord, Ms. Strasser's value to the show. Ms. Strasser has worked hard to get to where she is. It deserves to be acknowledged and heard loud and clear. But hey, what do I know? I'm just a fan.

Tuc-kered Out!

Tuc Watkins (David Vickers) has been striking comedic gold with Ms. Strasser's Dorian Lord for more than a decade, with some breaks away from the show. The two characters have thrilled most viewers to no end whenever they are in the room together. I'm keeping my fingers cross that David's latest visit to Llanview will lead to some significant story development for Dorian beyond the comedy before it's over and out. Stay tuned.

The ONE LIFE TO LIVE FAN CLUB PARTY is Saturday, August 4, 2007 in New York City, NY. No official word yet if Ms. Strasser will attend, though she indicated last year that she did not plan to go to this year's event. Go here for more information:
